Do you have a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease?
We understand that having issues with your memory and/or thought processes can be worrying. That’s why EXPEDITION 3 will look at whether a new investigational drug may help slow the worsening of Alzheimer’s Disease in patients with mild disease.
About 2,100 people will take part around the world
Who can take part?
We are looking for people who (among other things):
- Are 55-90 years old
- Have mild Alzheimer’s Disease (you will have tests at your first visit to see if you are able to take part in the study)
If you are thinking about taking part, you should also have a friend, relative or loved one who spends at least 10 hours a week with you and can:
- Attend your clinic visits with you
- Be available to answer questions about you
- Attend the hospital with you for your visits over 18 months
What happens if I want to take part?
If you’d like to join the EXPEDITION 3 study, our team will assess your health and condition fully during a clinic visit to make sure you’re able to take part.
Your participation in EXPEDITION 3 would last for approximately 18 months. During that time you would receive either the investigational drug or a placebo. However, if you complete the study, you may be able to enter an extension study where all participants receive the active investigational drug. As with any study, participation in the extension study is voluntary.
If you are thinking about taking part we would be happy to give you more information and discuss the study with you in detail, so that you can make an informed decision to take part.
